Hi Morpheus and team  :)

You asked me to keep an eye on any anomalies that I noticed while playing bingo - so far, so good - I've played for many hours and not noticed anything out of the ordinary. Now I don't know about other players and how they play/what device they use, but I have played on 2 laptops  and a desktop and everything has been fine, as far as I am aware. No freezing, no hiatus, no bungling balls all at once.

I have been playing the slots, and I have to report that on the same machines, I'm coming up with the same problems - there have been times when the game froze. I've also had times where I've had small wins (2 and 3 cherries on a line) and not received my winnings. That's happened 4 times in 5 days. There have also been times when the slots slow down, and when it looks like I'm getting 3 in a row (this is a horizontal line) the slots stop, then the 3rd item will just drop down, so I'm left with 2 in a row. I do find that very frustrating. I don't know if this is a bug.

I'm lucky in that I've made friends with some of my WPD friends on Facebook (I've mentioned this before) and there is something that came out of a chat we were having which I think I should bring to your attention, and it is about the slots, and what we feel, could maybe do with some changes, if this is possible? I'll simplify this as much as I can.

1. Every time the cherries are 2 in a line, we get a payout. Is it possible to extend this to all the other features, like something for 2 hats, 2 monkeys, 2 WPDS, 2 diamonds, even 2 Jackpots?

2. We know that getting a Jackpot is rare - it's like winning the Lottery. But is it possible to make it more achieveable, when it is your own personal slot Jackpot? I play with 100 chips, I personally can't afford more, and none of my WPD friends play higher than 1000 a turn. Not everyone can afford 2500 per turn. We have been using real money to buy chips so we can play the slots, but we can't afford to do this every day, let alone every week.

3. I have shouted from the rooftops how it is possible to play this game for free, but once we get hooked, we do know that we have to pay to play, we are aware that we can't have a free ride forever. So is it possible to retune the slots so we can have more frequent payouts - I don't mean the 3 cherries, they are a constant - what we are asking for, are the 2 hats etc with a payout, or 3 hats etc, but more frequently than happens now.

I've been asked on their behalf,  to thank you for making a great game. We really want to play every day, but we have to think of our budgets, too.

Is there any way you can help us, please?

Wow, what a great post !  We creators LOVE when players put this much thought into your feedback!   Let me see if i can intelligently address each question:

1.  If you are familiar with standard slot machines, the only symbol that pays out for 2-in-a-row is cherry.  This is just "how it was done" for many many years.  While it's certainly TECHNICALLY possible to change that, we have a significant number of players who are familiar with, and love, real world slots.  Our slot design follows traditional approach , largely for these players.   

2.  You want more frequent Jackpots?  What a suprise!  :)  Reminds me...I'd like to get paychecks EVERY day, instead of every two weeks, but my darn boss says no....that mean ole' grinch!   You write "when it is your own personal Jackpot", but right now, thats the ONLY kind of Jackpot we have.  So, its just the Jackpot (someday we want to add a Progressive, which is shared by everyone together, imagine the size of THAT baby!).

3.  This requests seems similar to #2, i'm not sure what is different?  Please elaborate if I have missed something.

So, the bottom line is you want the slots to be looser, right :)   I can understand where you are coming from.  The looser the slots, the more chips you have for other stuff, mainly playing Bingo!  

The issue for us is that we have created a micro-economy here, and it must stay in balance.  We must ultimately take more "chips" in, than we give out, or we will vanish, kaput, out-of-business.  We are 4 people barely able to pay the bills right now and so we have to get this balance right.

We added slots for a variety of reasons, mainly to improve the product.  We will continue to add new slots (coming really soon!), that have different tuning parameters.  The same way you go to a casino in Vegas and each machine "feels" different, we have done that with our new machines.  It is my sincere hope that instead of fiddling w/ our existing machine, we can offer machines that have different 'odds' and encourage each player to find the machine he/she enjoys the most.

Probably not the EXACT answer you were looking for, but I hope this helps.

Thank you for taking the time to answer us (and me) in such detail. I'm not a programmer so I have no idea what goes into what you do - what I DO know, is how incredibly hard you work and the long hours you put in. So thank you for that.

Please can I make one thing very clear to you - we weren't asking for anything free. Please don't think that. We love the game and are committed players (some folk have said I should be committed, but that's another post)

Bottom line - thank you for reading the post, thank you for your answer, and for your time. It was worth a try!

ps.... just so you know, I've been playing the slots for 5 hours straight - had a wild time and really enjoyed the game - those 3 diamonds still elude me, but I will keep at it till it kills me :P

I know I started a new discussion on the "Jackpot" thread, but I wanted to share something a bit spooky with you.

I play for hours - I mean it - hours - on WPB. I became as addicted to the slots as I was to the bingo.

I needed 3 diamonds to help complete an achievement, and I was fed up of not getting any. And I believed I would never, ever, win a jackpot. I mean, the odds of it happening are... well, huge!!

After trialling out the new slot machines tonight and not having a large amount of chips to spend (I actually bought 30,000 chips as I was so low) and loving the Kitten slots, I went back to the WPB slots to try again for the diamonds and increase my chips so I could play bingo in French Palace 1. I got a bit bored and said out loud

"I'm never going to win the diamonds I need, and as for the jackpot, that's never going to happen... so don't  show me any more diamonds or the jackpot symbol.... just go away, I don't want to see you at all!!"

I then started clicking on the start button,and I wasn't really paying any attention to it.... until the bells went off and there it was... JACKPOT... I'd won 1,931,000 chips, 4000 diamonds (I had 240 diamonds, now it shows 999 diamonds... can you explain that to me, please?) So within a few minutes of me saying out loud that I knew it would never happen to me.... I win the jackpot??? How spooky is that?

I don't know what to say, but thank you, Jason and the WPB team... I'm so happy, I'm actually crying.

This is the best game of bingo and slots - FACT. You gotta admit, I have to be your biggest fan. Period.

wow. thats AMAZING and....right, a little spooky!  LOL.

To explain the diamond count,.....our counter has a maximum of 999.  So when you won your 4000, we addded that to your 240 so you will have 4240.  Dont worry, we keep that number on our servers.  Your display will be "pegged" at 999 until you spend your next 3241 diamonds...then you will see the counter drop as normal.

CONGRATS again...thats amazing!   Want to go to Vegas with me?  lol!

Thank you for explaining the diamond counter to me - when I wrote the above post, telling you about how strangely spooky it all was... it wasn't until my head started to clear, that I realised about the diamond counter and the number limit - duh! I'm not the best at working out the obvious, lol - and especially when something has made me very happy indeed.

I can't thank you enough for making this game. I know I keep saying it.... but WPB really is the best there is. No question about it. And if I had won real money, I would have given you the money for a vacation to Vegas. You deserve it.
